Research focus

  • Development of new medical diagnostics methods.
  • Development of synthesis methods, investigation of physical, chemical and biological properties of minorgroove binders.
  • Synthesis of oligodeoxynucleotides and their derivatives for biochemical and medical investigation.

Main scientific results

  • Methods of liquid-phase and solid-phase synthesis of single-stranded and double-stranded DNA-binding polyamides are developed. Physical and chemical properties of DNA-duplexes stabilized by minorgroove binders are investigated.
  • Modern methods of medical real-time PCR diagnostics are developed on basis of obtained data.
  • DNA-microchip methodology of diagnostics of orthopoxviruses and herpesviruses is developed.
  • Methods of synthesis of intermediates for real time PCR tests and DNA-microchip tests are developed.
